The Sale CBD Precinct Plan is a planning tool that works in tandem with the Sale, Wurruk and Longford Structure Plan to articulate the vision and guide the long term growth and development of the CBD.

The Sale CBD Precinct Plan was adopted by Council on 5 October 2010. It guides the development of the CBD from the perspective of both public and private sector investors.

It provides clear direction in terms of:

• Where to allow for retail and commercial expansion
• Improving access to and parking within the CBD
• Improving the appearance of the CBD
• Better use of existing land and resources
• Capturing passing trade and tourism dollars
• Encouraging people to walk and cycle to and within the centre
• Making the Sale CBD a vibrant and bustling local and regional centre
