NOTICE

As the third largest municipality in Victoria covering an area of 10,924 square kilometres, Wellington Shire Council is responsible for building and maintaining a broad range of infrastructure to improve the overall quality of life and to meet the needs of people in our local community.

Some of our key responsibilities include:

  • A 3,078km network of sealed and unsealed roads
  • Bridges and culverts
  • Footpaths and kerbs
  • Drains and stormwater pits
  • Public toilet blocks
  • Parks, gardens and open space
  • Boating facilities
  • Playgrounds and skate parks
  • Recreation reserves
  • Street and park trees
  • Public buildings (Incl. Libraries and Halls)
  • Two airports
  • Six swimming pools
