1300 366 244Gippy Girls Can is back from 8–15 September 2025 with a week of free and low-cost activities designed to help women and girls in Wellington Shire get moving in ways that feel right for them.
We know that many women face challenges when it comes to getting active - whether it’s fear of judgement, cost, time pressures, low confidence, or feeling like they don’t belong. That’s why Gippy Girls Can focuses on inclusive, supportive, low-pressure opportunities where you can try something new, reconnect with an activity you once enjoyed, or simply get moving in a way that works for you.
With support from GippSport, the program features activities for all ages, abilities, and fitness levels - from walking groups and pilates to netball, tennis, rowing, and even adventure films.

Drop the kids off at school or bring the little ones along for a free walk, cuppa and a chat. Meet at the shelter on the corner or McIntosh Drive and Foster St at Lake Guthridge. We will walk a lap of the lake that stop back at the meeting spot for a cuppa and a chat.

Walking Basketball is a fun, low-impact activity that’s perfect for anyone looking to get moving, including those who are less active or recovering from an injury.
This slower-paced version of basketball is welcoming to all ages, genders, and abilities.

CGH striders meet every Tuesday morning for a 30 minute walk and chat before starting the day. This is a great way to enjoy exercising while making new friends. Everyone welcome!
Frontline Academy are hosting 2 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu beginner sessions. Sessions include a mix of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fitness, tailored for women of all ages and fitness levels.
These sessions empower women to build confidence, develop strength, learn practical self-defence, and break down the barriers. It’s more than just movement, it’s about finding your voice, your tribe, and your strength.
