Wellington Shire Council Mayor Alan Hall has been appointed to 2020 Local Government Mayoral Advisory Panel (LGMAP).

Cr Hall is one of 15 local government Mayors selected for the panel, which will advise Minister for Local Government Adem Somyurek on a range of legislative, regulatory, strategic and policy decisions which impact on local government.

Cr Hall and Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor Brett Tessari are the only two from Gippsland to make the panel.

Cr Hall said he was pleased to be appointed to the panel and looked forward to ensuring the best interests of the Wellington community were communicated to the Minister.

“The LGMAP will be a great opportunity for me to be involved in state-wide local government matters and to make sure the Minister for Local Government is well informed about what’s happening in Wellington.”
