Notice of the preparation of an Amendment

Amendment C109wellPt1

The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C109wellPt1 to the Wellington Planning Scheme.

The Amendment comes into operation on the date this notice is published in the Victoria Government Gazette.

The Amendment replaces the Municipal Strategic Statement and the Local Planning Policy Framework of the Wellington Planning Scheme with a Municipal Planning Strategy and Planning Policy Framework; implements the recommendations of reports that underpin the Planning in the Economic Growth Zone project; updates several schedules to the zones, overlays and operational provisions to be consistent with the Ministerial Direction on Form and Content; and revises several zone and overlay schedules to remove permit triggers, introduce permit exemptions, and improving wording and efficacy of provisions.

A copy of the Amendment can be inspected, free of charge, at the Department of Transport and Planning website or by contacting 1800 789 386 to arrange a time to view the Amendment. A copy of the Amendment can also be inspected, free of charge, during office hours, at the offices of the Wellington Shire Council, Service Centre, 18 Desailly Street, Sale and on the Wellington Shire Council website.
