1300 366 244Notice is given, pursuant to section 74 of the Local Government Act 2020, that at its Council meeting of 16 September 2025, the Wellington Shire Council resolved to make the Community Local Law (Amendment) Local Law 2025.
The objectives of the Local Law are to:
a) amend the Community Local Law 2021, by removing obsolete provisions and correcting anomalies; and
b) provide for the peace, order and good government of the municipal district of Wellington Shire Council.
The effect of the Community Local Law (Amendment) Local Law 2025 is that obsolete provisions will be removed, and anomalies corrected. Local Laws are regulatory instruments, made under the Local Government Act 2020, that enable Councils to fulfil and exercise powers, functions and duties that assist in regulating local issues.
The Community Local Law (Amendment) Local Law 2025 will take effect from 17 September 2025.
