Wellington Shire Council is reminding residents that there will be no kerbside bin collection across the shire on Christmas Day.  

In areas where a Council collection is normally on a Friday, a bin collector will come a day later. Council is asking people in these areas to leave their bins out prior to 6am Saturday 26 December.  

Other collection days remain the same.  

Council waste facilities in the popular holiday spots of Loch Sport and Dargo will operate with additional hours during the Christmas holidays.  

Dargo Transfer Station will be opening for an additional 40 hours over the peak holiday period, opening on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in addition to normal trading hours, until Friday 8 January.  

Loch Sport Transfer Station also introduces additional hours, opening from noon to 5pm every Wednesday from 30 December until the end of January.
