Heyfield land identified
Issued:
January 13, 2017

The Heyfield Low Density Residential Land Supply Study (Heyfield Study) aims to provide independent recommendations to Council in relation to the availability of suitable, viable locations in proximity to Heyfield to provide for one acre lots, that can be developed within five years.

As part of the Heyfield Study, a community drop-in session was held in September last year. From the session and further analysis, four areas were identified for further investigation. The four areas have now been assessed by planning and engineering consultants against several criteria and direct consultation with landowners in these areas. The draft recommendations have been compiled in a report which is now available to view and for comment.

The report has identified two separate areas in Heyfield that are deemed to be the most appropriate for development into one acre residential lots within the next five years. The areas are located at the end of Burnett Court and on the corner of the Heyfield-Seaton Road and Draper Road.

Council is seeking community feedback on the draft report which is available for viewing at www.wellington.vic.gov.au/heyfieldstudy. Hard copies of the draft report can also be viewed during opening hours at the Heyfield Library and Sale Service Centre from Monday 16 January 2017.
