If you wish to hire a public pool in Wellington Shire, simply complete the Wellington Shire Pool Hire Request Form.

• All Wellington swimming pools are ‘Watch around Water’ pools.
• Children under 5 years must be within arm’s reach of a responsible adult at all times.
• Children 10 years and under must be under the constant visual supervision of a responsible adult.
• Unsupervised children will not be permitted to remain in the water.
• Responsible adult must be 16 years of age or older.

On days when the temperature is forecast to reach 24°C or above in Sale, the Maffra Memorial Pool will open for extended hours beyond the usual schedule. This allows the community to cool down and make the most of the hot weather, providing more opportunities to enjoy the facilities during those warm days.

Forecasts are based on the Bureau of Meteorology and determined by 4pm the day before.
