Your Wellington Your Say website launches
Issued:
February 8, 2021

Wellington Shire Council is delivering on a pledge to listen to feedback from residents with new “one-stop-shop” engagement website Your Wellington Your Say.

Last year, Council conducted a Community Satisfaction Survey which found that the Wellington community wanted more engagement, more consultation and more information.

Your Wellington Your Say (your.wellington.vic.gov.au) is a key response. It gives residents and those who are simply interested in local issues the chance to share ideas, stay informed and provide Council with feedback - all in one place.

Registering is simple and provides the opportunity to comment, join discussions, provide feedback and opt to receive Wellington Shire Council’s new fortnightly e-newsletter The Digital Edit.

The Digital Edit offers a wrap of the key Council news and issues that you need to know about, delivered direct to every member’s inbox.

“Both Your Wellington Your Say and the Digital Edit will assist Council to provide more accessible ways to engage with the community,” Wellington Shire Council Mayor Garry Stephens said.

“But launching the new website doesn’t mean Council will stop face-to-face engagement, such as drop-in sessions and workshops. We’ll be working hard to ensure we give everyone in our shire the chance to be heard,” Cr Stephens said.

Community Satisfaction Survey phone interviews (conducted by an independent body) are also set to begin this month, with 400 residents across Wellington Shire to be contacted and asked for feedback on council services as well as rating how Council has performed overall.
