At its Ordinary Council meeting on Tuesday 20 June 2017, Wellington Shire adopted the Road Management Plan 2017.
Council considered ten submissions from members of the community and feedback from Council’s civil liability insurer, MAV Insurance, that were received during the public consultation process. Council will respond in writing to each of the submitters.
As a result of the submissions, several amendments have been made to the plan that have either maintained or increased the level of service to the community.
Council maintains a very extensive public road network of approximately 3,100km in length, and the Road Management Plan 2017 establishes processes and sets standards in relation to the inspection, maintenance and repair of roads and paths for which Council is responsible.
