Now in its 42nd year, the Victorian Seniors Festival is a major statewide initiative that delivers free and low-cost events across Victoria. Delivered in partnership with local councils, the Victorian Government, community organisations, and commercial partners, the festival promotes health, wellbeing and participation for older Victorians through arts, culture, sport and social activities.

Wellington Shire Council Mayor Cr Scott Rossetti said the local program is a reflection of Council’s commitment to supporting older residents in meaningful and accessible ways.

“The Seniors Festival is an important opportunity to recognise the vital contributions of older people in our community,” Cr Rossetti said. “It’s also about encouraging people to stay connected, try something new and celebrate this chapter of life with pride and positivity.”

Council’s local festival program includes four feature events:

“Whether you’re heading to a concert, exploring local services, or simply catching up with friends, the Seniors Festival is a reminder that ageing is something to be celebrated,” Cr Rossetti added.
