1300 366 244At its meeting on Tuesday 18 April 2017, Wellington Shire Council elected to not support a planning permit application for a second dwelling on a lot in Evelyn Drive, Sale.
After considering objections from eleven landowners in the Evelyn Drive estate, Councillors were concerned that the proposal will have an adverse effect on the amenity and character of the existing low density estate, where single houses on large lifestyle blocks prevail.
Cr Darren McCubbin stated that Council had responded to the significant concerns raised by the local community regarding the further development of the estate, but noted that the application may ultimately be decided by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
