Wellington Shire Council's libraries will launch a series of regular new activities for students and adults in February.

The in-person activities are aimed at getting people into Wellington libraries to socialise and experience what is on offer.

For seniors, libraries will offer a fortnightly afternoon tea and chat, the ‘Seniors Par-tea’. It gives seniors the chance to make new friends and have some lively discussions.

Sessions begin during the week commencing 14 February and will continue fortnightly at Maffra, Rosedale, Sale and Yarram libraries.

'Homework Hub' will allow students to go to one of the libraries for some dedicated study space, free wi-fi and snacks.

It will also start during the week commencing 14 February at Maffra, Rosedale, Sale and Yarram libraries, and will continue weekly.

A monthly book club for adults, 'Between the Covers' will begin in March, with sign-ups starting from Monday 14 February.

Capped at six participants per session, readers will receive a book each month from Wellington libraries to come together and discuss as a group. Genres and book selections will vary. The book club will run at Heyfield, Maffra, Rosedale and Sale libraries.

For a full calendar of library programs visit www.wellington.vic.gov.au/eventcalendar and to register, contact one of the libraries.

Wellington’s libraries offer a space for studying, with ‘Homework Hub’ set to kick off in February.
