Wellington Shire Council will extend the operating hours of the Loch Sport Transfer Station during the Christmas holiday period.

With an influx of visitors to Loch Sport during this time, we frequently experience issues regarding the disposal of waste. This is due to extra people visiting the area, and holiday homeowners using the Christmas period to conduct renovations or clean-ups.

Council urges all those residing in Loch Sport during the summer to abide by the law when it comes to waste disposal. It is never OK to dump rubbish.

Normal operating hours for the Loch Sport Transfer Station can be found online at www.wellington.vic.gov.au/waste.

In addition to these regular hours, Council will open the facility every Wednesday from 12pm-5pm, from 30 December until 27 January 2021.
