How can we do more for kids? We want to know what you think
Issued:

Children are our future. And Wellington Shire Council is committed to supporting parents, carers and children, to ensure that every child has the best start in life and the confidence and skills to help create a better future.

To deliver on this commitment, Council is asking every parent or carer of a child aged 0-8 to complete our Early Years Planning Survey, to help us to help our youngest generation – whether through better maternal and child health provision, kindergartens, library services, childcare, playgroups, pools and playgrounds, community events and social support services.

The survey offers a chance for every parent and carer to let Council know how they can ensure that all services, opportunities and spaces are accessible and inclusive, so that every child experiences positive early years.

Community feedback from parents and carers via the survey forms part of Wellington Shire Council’s Early Years Infrastructure Plan, and upcoming Public Health and Wellbeing Plan which will assist Council understand current and future needs for early years services and facilities that cater for families with children aged 0-8 years.

Pick up a survey sheet at your Council library, maternal and child health care centre or local kindergarten, or visit www.wellington.vic.gov.au/earlyyearsplanning.
