1300 366 244GNEC 2025 will be held on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 September at the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) in Traralgon.
First established in 2022, the conference was proudly hosted by Wellington Shire Council for its first two years at The Wedge Performing Arts Centre in Sale. Now in its fourth year, the event returns to Traralgon for a second time, hosted by the Gippsland Climate Change Network in partnership with Latrobe City Council. Wellington Shire Council proudly continues its support as a major sponsor.
Deputy Mayor of Wellington Shire, Councillor Cindy Madeley, said the event comes at a transformative time for the region.
“Wellington Shire has long recognised the enormous potential of renewable energy not just to address climate change, but to create lasting economic and social benefits for our communities,” Cr Madeley said.
“This sector will shape the future of Gippsland, and we’re committed to ensuring our region is ready. With more than $40 billion in planned investment across Gippsland, this transition is happening now, and we must continue to lead with purpose.”
“The Gippsland New Energy Conference reflects the growing momentum across our region. What began as a two-day event is now a multi-day celebration of innovation, progress and opportunity and we’re proud to be part of it,” Cr Madeley said.
Tickets for GNEC 2025 are now available at www.gnec.com.au, giving attendees access to keynote speakers, industry panels, breakout sessions, a supplier breakfast, catering, networking, and a free public expo.
A supplier ticket option is also available to support businesses working within the renewables supply chain.
This year’s conference also includes a dedicated Academics Day and ‘Renewables in Ag’ farm tours on Thursday 11 September, offering practical insights into energy transition in agriculture. A Youth Summit will run concurrently in Korumburra, helping young people take part in shaping the region’s energy future.
