Get your home and business charged up with battery storage and learn about Community Energy
Issued:
March 21, 2017

Electricity use can be an expensive exercise when it comes to running a household or business. Many homes in Wellington Shire already have solar power but are still finding the supply and running costs a big pinch on the purse.

Wellington Shire Council, in partnership with Gippsland Climate Change Network, is hosting an information evening for anyone interested in exploring alternative means to meet their energy needs through battery storage.

The renewable energy sector is progressing rapidly and Council is pleased to host a number of local technicians from the battery storage industry who work with a range of these technologies on a day to day basis.

The technicians will share their knowledge on the latest technology, various options and applications. There will be time for questions at the end of the information segment to help people relate the technology to their individual circumstances.

In addition, Council will also be providing information on how to create a Community Energy project. Community Energy is when people within the community come together to plan, develop, operate, own and benefit from a large scale renewable energy system, such as solar or wind.

This not to be missed event will be held at Sale Baptist Church, Princes Highway & Cobains Road, Sale on Thursday 20 April from 7pm to 9pm. Refreshments will be provided.

The event is free to attend but spaces are limited. So, to register visit www.eventbrite.com.au/e/solar-battery-storage-information-night-tickets.
