1300 366 244The Sustainable Building and Renovating Mini-Series explores practical topics including finding the right professionals for a project, designing homes that can withstand a changing climate, selecting sustainable building materials and creating water-wise homes and gardens.
The series begins on Thursday 30 July with ‘Finding a Sustainable Team’, helping participants identify builders, designers and other professionals who align with their sustainability goals. This will be followed by ‘Designing for Resilience’ on Thursday 13 August, which explores how to retrofit, renovate or design homes to better withstand extreme weather events and changing conditions.
On Thursday 27 August, the ‘Sustainable Building Materials’ webinar will examine the environmental performance and suitability of various building materials, while the final session, ‘Water and Greening’, on 10 September, will focus on integrating sustainable water management systems and creating climate-ready, water-wise gardens.
The four webinars are part of the broader Sustainable Living Series, free webinars delivered by independent experts Renew in partnership with Wellington Shire Council, Bass Coast Shire Council, South Gippsland Shire Council, East Gippsland Shire Council and Latrobe City Council. The free online sessions are designed to provide residents with reliable, independent information that can help improve home comfort, reduce household energy costs and support more sustainable communities across Gippsland.
Each webinar runs for 90 minutes and includes opportunities for participants to ask questions and receive practical advice from industry experts.
