Cooking Up Connections Project

Cooking Up Connections is a short video project, encouraging people all across Gippsland and from a variety of backgrounds to grab their phones and film a video of themselves and their family cooking a meal that is significant to them.

The project hopes to spark conversations within families and communities about meals and food, giving an insight into the different cultural connections to food.

Videos have been released online during Social Inclusion Week 2020, promoting/celebrating diversity and inclusion and all that it brings to our communities.

Cooking Up Connections is an initiative of Together Gippsland and generously funded through the Community Activation and Social Isolation Initiative (Victorian Government).

You can watch each of the Cooking Up Connections videos by visiting Council's YouTube channel and choosing the 'Cooking Up Connections' playlist.
