Celebrate Book Week at The Wedge

Is your child a curious creature with a wild mind? The Wedge has limited free tickets left for Curious Creatures, Wild Minds - a Book Week 2020 performance that celebrates Australian children’s authors and illustrators.

Curious Creatures, Wild Minds brings kids and books together for a fun and zany play. It follows Mad Professor Steve and his wonderful assistant Melesa as they discover books and act them out.

Two outdoor performances on Saturday 17 October will be held at The Wedge Loading Dock. Kids are encouraged to dress up as their favourite character from a book.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink.

Bookings are essential, via The Wedge box office, open 10am-2pm Tuesday to Friday. Visit in person, call 03 5143 3200 or visit thewedge.com.au.  

11am and 1pm, Saturday 17 October, the Loading Dock – behind The Wedge, 100 Foster St, Sale. The box office will also be set up at the Loading Dock one hour prior to each performance.

All attendees will need to wear a fitted mask and bring ID to prove place of residence. Those who live within Greater Melbourne will not be allowed to attend. If you are feeling unwell or have cold/flu-like symptoms, please do not attend.

Also, look out for the Book Week competition post on Wellington Shire Council’s Facebook page on Tuesday 20 October. Post a photo of your child dressed up as their favourite book character to go into the draw to win prizes. First prize will be a $50 Collins Booksellers Sale gift voucher.
