The park and surrounding reserve could easily be classified as the sporting hub of Golden Beach, featuring a 3 km walking track, football oval, cricket pitch, bowling green, golf course and BMX track. The VMMR also is home to a Licensed Bar & Bistro operated by volunteers as a service to the community Saturday nights.
