Wellington Shire hereby gives notice of its intention pursuant to the provisions of the sections 206, 207A and 207B including clause 2 of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989 to undertake a road exchange by closing a section of Government Road (Pound Road West) and opening a road over CP167375 for the realignment of Pound Road West over the Albert River at Alberton West.

The community is invited to comment on the proposal. The proposal is shown on the diagram below.

If you wish to make a submission regarding this proposal, you may do so in writing addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Wellington Shire Council, PO Box 506, Sale 3853.  Your submission should be received by 5.00pm on Friday 14th of April 2023.

Any person making a submission may request that he or she be heard in support of any written submissions lodged before the Council or a Committee of the Council convened for that purpose.

All submissions will be considered public documents unless specified otherwise by the submitter.  In the event that no submissions are received on the proposal the road exchange will be formalised.
