Batteries contain toxic liquids and metals, and were banned from landfill in 2019. They cannot go in your household bins! Household batteries can be recycled for free at the Port of Sale (Wellington Centre) or any library in Wellington Shire. Most supermarkets, tech stores and hardware stores also have battery recycling bins for small household batteries - ask your local store for assistance.
