Cr Marcus McKenzie is a Port Albert resident and with his wife Cherrie, operate the Gowrie Guest House and Interiors by Jade giftshop.

Marcus held senior management positions in the food-processing industry in both Sydney and Melbourne for more than 30 years, before embarking on a consultancy business from 2013-2018 where he assisted Australian corporations seeking to set up operations in the Philippines by being the liaison between the relevant national government departments and local government officials.

Today, Marcus is a mentor for small business through the not-for-profit organisation, the Small Business Mentoring Service.

Since moving to Port Albert, Marcus has become a passionate advocate. He is a member of Rotary, as well as a committee member of the local Neighbourhood House.  

Until recently, Marcus was also the editor of the Port Albert Tattler community newsletter and a guide at the Alberton Cemetery Walking Tours.
