Adults now required to be in the water with children under five

Parents of children under five years old will have to be in the water with their children at Wellington pools this summer swim season, in line with new Safer Public Pools Code of Practice. The Code of Practice reinforces the professional expectation of the Victorian Aquatic Industry.

Port of Sale Temporary Closure (Sunday 18 November, 2018)

The Port of Sale facility which includes the Sale Library, Gippsland Art Gallery, Visitor Information Centre and Dock 70 Café (along with The Wedge Performing Arts Centre and Portside Food + Wine) will be closed for business on Sunday, 18 November 2018 due to an AusNet Services power outage. All buildings will reopen Monday, 19 November.

Yarram Town Tree Plan

Wellington Shire Council is seeking feedback from the Yarram community regarding the Town Tree Plan. Council has plans to plant around 500 extra trees in Yarram during 2019, to beautify the township and enhance the urban forest into the future.

Draft Urban Paths Plan (2018)

The Urban Paths Plan (2018) is a Council strategy that provides direction on how Council will provide appropriate cement footpaths in urban or residential zoned areas of towns within Wellington Shire. This document includes the Urban Paths Action Plan, and Maps that detail proposed footpath projects for the next 20 years.
