Council has partnered with Wellington Primary Care Partnership, Central Gippsland Health Service, Yarram & District Health Service and GippSport to promote the Premier’s Active April. The Premier’s Active April encourages people from all walks of life to devote just 30 minutes a day to exercise.

Have you found a lost pet?

Council is reminding community members of the most appropriate way to report a lost pet. Social media ‘Lost and Found’ sites, such as Facebook, are being increasingly used to reunite lost pets with their owners but this may not be the best course of action to take.

Update on Heyfield Mill activities

Council has continued to work towards achieving a positive resolution so that the 250 immediate jobs and the many more that will be lost by through the knock-on effects, can be saved. Various meetings, discussions and correspondence has occurred.

until Sunday 23 April 2017. South Gippsland artist Owen Rye is a maker of ceramic jars. Rye’s wood fired ceramic jars and pots express the distinct characteristics of the medium.


Wurruk Growth Area Planning Scheme Amendment

We are seeking public feedback on Planning Scheme Amendment C84 for the Wurruk Growth Area. The land identified is located south of the Princes Highway between Sovereign Drive Estate and The Ridge. The Kilmany Park Estate is also included within the Amendment.

Draft Gaming Machine Policy

We are seeking your feedback after an internal review of our Responsible Gaming Policy was undertaken. Changes to the Policy have been made to reflect that Electronic Gaming Machines can have significant social, economic and health impacts on individuals, families and communities.
