Community Assistance Funding Round Recommended

Wellington Shire Council will consider applications from the recent round of Community Assistance Grants on Tuesday 19 May 2015, at its Ordinary Council Meeting. It is expected that over $50,000 support will be provided, split between 13 local community groups.

Glenmaggie District Boat Club

Quick Response Grant helps deliver successful event!

In March this year, the Glenmaggie and District Boat Club celebrated their 60th Anniversary of Boat Racing on Lake Glenmaggie and the official opening of the new Clubhouse. A Quick Response Grant from Council assisted towards the Club’s catering and entertainment costs for the event.

Gallery Exhibition (Sale) - Rodney Forbes - The Lost White Woman of Gippsland

until Sunday 28 June 2015. Rodney Forbes examines the myth of the captive white woman of Gippsland, a story which was used as a pretext for punitive raids against the Gunai people of Gippsland in the 1840s.

Seeking Submissions - Draft Council Plan and Budget

Wellington Shire Council is seeking written submissions on the content of its revised Council Plan 2013-17 and the 2015/16 draft Budget. Submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.
