Council meetings are now even more accessible to the public, thanks to a brand new HD live streaming format. Live streaming allows you to view all of Council’s proceedings online without the need to attend in person. Tune in to our next Ordinary Meeting of Council on Tuesday 2 December at 3.00pm.

Changes to book borrowing at Sale Library

In the coming weeks, a few changes are taking place at the Sale Library. While all books will still remain available for the public to borrow, Sale College is moving their book collection onto separate shelving within the library to provide a more streamlined process for their students and staff to access the school’s resources.

Seaspray support secured

Wellington Shire Council has confirmed a $270,000 funding commitment toward the development of the new Seaspray Surf Life Saving Club (SSLSC). This contribution will help ensure that the SSLSC project can be delivered as planned.

until Saturday 7 January 2015. Dear Joy is an imaginary exchange between Joy Hester (1920-1960) and Gippsland artist Kiera Brown, whose preoccupation with the life and work of Hester has provided inspiration on many levels.

Gallery Exhibition (Sale) - Viv Miller

Venue: Gippsland Art Gallery, 68-70  Foster Street,  Sale

until Sunday 1 February 2015. Melbourne artist Viv Miller combines an eclectic range of processes within her dazzling and light-filled paintings. Underscoring her meticulous works is the point where the real and the digital realms meet, which is becoming increasingly blurred.

White Ribbon Community Breakfast and Facilitated Discussion

Wellington Shire Council in partnership with Gippsland Women’s Health Service are hosting an external White Ribbon Day Community Breakfast and a Facilitated Discussion. Community members and staff from community and business sector are invited to come along to a Breakfast to promote White Ribbon Day and facilitate a discussion on how to speak out and take action to prevent all forms of violence.
