This program consists of monthly community immunisation sessions in Sale, Maffra, Heyfield and Yarram along with a secondary school based immunisation program. Community sessions are open to everyone and no appointment is necessary.
Note: Annual flu injections for members of the public not in the funded category can be purchased at immunisation sessions.

All children enrolling in Victorian primary schools either first time or when changing schools, must demonstrate their immunisation status to the school. Once your child has been fully immunised including the four-year-old Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, Measles, Mumps and Rubella immunisations, an immunisation history statement is automatically sent to your Medicare registered address from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR, previously known as ACIR).
If you have not received your child’s immunisation history statement you should phone the AIR on 1800 653 809, see the Australian Immunisation Register or visit your local Medicare office.
If your child does not appear on the AIR or has not been fully immunised due to a medical or conscientious objection, a School Entry Immunisation Certificate of any vaccinations given by our service can be requested. Contact Wellington Shire Council and provide your child’s name, date of birth, schools attended and other names you may have been known by, along with your contact details.
Note: Up until 2016, only immunisations administered after 1 January 1996 and up until the age of seven years were registered with the Immunisation Register. Currently, all immunisations performed by Council are recorded.
