School aged kids can get hands-on experience in nature and build cultural connections with local parks.
They'll get to survey Lake Guthridge for macro-invertebrates, test water quality, decorate and throw 'Biodiverse Boomerangs' with a Gunaikurnai facilitator, watch a live bug and spider show, experience sustainable fishing and 'Plantings in the Park' guided by Council staff.
Kids can also join the Bug Blitz Mobile Field Laboratory to watch a locally produced environmental film about kids, nest-boxes, working together and bushfire recovery.
