Following the latest announcement from the Victorian Government, COVID-19 restrictions in regional Victoria (including Wellington Shire) have eased significantly.
The Victorian Department of Health & Human Services is the best place to keep up to date with information regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
From midnight on Friday 22 April 2022 proof of Covid-19 vaccination is no longer required to enter any Council facility. QR code and manual check-in will no longer be a requirement upon entry.

Face masks are not required, however recommended if you cannot physically distance.

Wellington Shire Council is NOT providing the COVID-19 vaccine. Council's customer service team cannot book COVID-19 vaccinations for you. These are not part of our community immunisation sessions.
Walk in vaccination appointments are available at Our Lady of Sion Catholic College (Marcellin Room) - Wednesdays between midday - 7pm. Parking is available at the former staff car park, located off Raglan Street, Sale.
Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna vaccines are available.
If you are eligible and want to book in for a COVID-19 vaccine via the Gippsland Regional Public Health Unit, you must call the coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398.

Wellington Shire Council has launched a Relief Information Line for members of the public who require assistance as a result of the current pandemic. The Wellington Relief Information Line number is 1300 137 218 and is open 9am-4.30pm Monday to Friday. The Line will operate until it is no longer required.

Through Community Activation and Social Isolation (CASI), social, emotional and practical support is available for the residents in need of help during COVID-19. CASI can assist you to keep important connections with your family and friends, and building connection with your local organisations and support networks.

After hours, CASI can be access through the Victorian Coronavirus Hotline by choosing option 3 or 8 when calling 1800 675 398. This hotline is open 24 hours, 7 days.
