Gippsland Regional Tourism Development Plan

Tourism Victoria has identified Sale and Port Albert within Wellington as key destinations that contain significant tourism development potential. Consequently Sale and Port Albert are part of a ten town network which is targeted in Tourism Victoria’s Regional Plan for Gippsland 2004-2007.

The vision of the four year strategy is to increase the awareness and economic benefits of Port Albert and Sale through the development of product, infrastructure and marketing activities. The proposed outcome is increased visitation, length of stay, visitor expenditure, regional dispersal and overall market share from both domestic and international markets.

Visit the Tourism Victoria website below or download Tourism Victoria’s Gippsland Regional Plan 2004-2007 for further information.
