 Wellington Tourism Strategy 2006-2011
Wellington Shire Council views tourism as an important sector of the region's economy with scope for further growth and making a significant contribution to the quality of life in the Wellington region. Tourism provides employment for over 900 people and contributes $81 million in visitor expenditure per annum.

Wellington Shire Tourism is committed to developing and marketing sustainable tourism in order to maintain and improve the competitive position of the region. Through our strong association with key tourism bodies, we are able to provide high level assistance, information and access to vital tourism networks.

Our Tourism Development Officer is actively involved in creating and implementing tourism development through Wellington’s Tourism Strategy while working closely with business operators, tourism associations and other key stakeholders.

Enquiries regarding tourism development should be directed to the Tourism Development Officer on 03 5142 3413 or 1300 366 244.
