| Educational facilities exist at all tiers providing vocational and professional development for you and your family.
Wellington Shire, particularly Sale, provides a major education centre for Gippsland with a number of secondary colleges and tertiary facilities located in the Shire. Wellington Shire hosts five secondary colleges: Maffra Secondary College, Yarram Secondary College, Sale College, Gippsland Grammar, and Sale Catholic College.
Approximately 70 per cent of Wellington Shire primary and secondary students attend government schools, which also draw students from locations well beyond the shire’s boundaries.
