| The East Sale RAAF Base is the main post-graduate flight training base of the Royal Australian Air Force.
A $60 million expansion by the Federal Government has transformed the site into Australia’s premier officer training base. This expansion has created 63 permanent new positions.
The East Sale RAAF Base now has a population of over 800, including permanent staff and students. It is estimated that the expansion of the East Sale RAAF Base has created a 25 per cent increase in population, bringing visitors and families from across the nation, with more than 700 extra students completeing courses annually.
