How do I apply for event sponsorship funding?

Event Small Grants and Event Sponsorship Program
Wellington Shire Council's Event Small Grants and Event Sponsorship Program provides support to Community Events that contribute to our Community.

To be eligible for sponsorship, grants or in-kind support (use of the event equipment) events must meet specific criteria detailed in the Community Event Guidelines or Event Small Grant Guidelines.

Applications for event sponsorship opens in January and closes on 1 March. Funding re-opens on 27 June and closes on 1 August.

Event Small Grants are open all year.

To apply for event support applicants are required to read the relevant Guidelines and complete either the Event Small Grant Application Form or the Community Event Sponsorship Application Form.

Events may only receive sponsorship once per year and must not be held less than 3 months from the funding round closing date. Sponsorship and Grants will only be made available when all permissions, permits and plans requiring development by Wellington Shire Council are received.

Event Small Grants are available all year round with applications submitted no less than 6 weeks prior to the event and may only be funded once per year. Applicants are required to read the Event Small Grant Guidelines and complete the Event Small Grant Application form.

Please ensure when submitting your application that ALL sections and tick boxes are completed in full.
