| In accordance with state legislation, all dogs and cats in the Wellington Shire aged three months and over require registration.
Initial animal registrations must be paid for at a Wellington Shire Council Customer Service Centre in Sale or Yarram. Animal registration renewal payments can now be made online.
Animal registrations expire on 9 April each year.
As of 1 May 2007, all new applications to register a dog or cat cannot be accepted unless the dog or cat has a microchip implant(of which proof must be provided). This includes dogs and cats moving into the municipality from another Council. | |
