| There are different levels of controls for advertising signs depending on the zoning of the land on which the sign will be located.
The zoning of the land will determine the level of control. For instance in business areas, there is minimum limitation on signs however in other areas such as rural and residential areas there is greater control.
Controls may stipulate a limit on the size and number of signs, damand a planning permit or the proposed sign may be prohibited.
You can check the zoning of your land by viewing the Wellington Planning Scheme maps at a Customer Service Centre in Sale or Yarram.
To find out which sign category is applicable for your zoning, please phone the Planning Department on 1300 366 244 or visit http://www.dse.vic.gov.au . | |
