If you have a passion to do something in your community, and to be a part of a group that wants to work together to make Wellington a better place for young people to live, Wellington Shire Youth Council is for you!
Youth Councillors provide strong, positive leadership and are instigators of positive change, acting as role models and leaders within the community. Importantly they also act as a youth voice within local government.
Youth Councillors are given many opportunities to improve their leadership skills, develop a greater understanding of their community, and to work together on great projects which encourage youth participation.
Wellington Shire Youth Council consists of up to 18 motivated young people aged between 12 – 25 who live or work in the Wellington Shire, and strives to represent the community demographic.
Applications for Youth Council 2017 are now open and close on 2 November 2016
