| RuralAccess in Wellington Shire works together with people, services and communities to build and plan for inclusive communities for people with disability, their families and carers.
RuralAccess in Wellington Shire does this by: | |
 | Helping people and organisations work together more effectively | | Improving community understanding about the needs and aspirations of people with a disability | | Developing and implementing responses to community priorities | | Ensuring that the needs of people with a disability are the focus of community planning | | Supporting service providers to assist people with a disability to live the sort of life they choose | | Developing easy ways for people to access the information they need about services, community activities and consultation opportunities |
|
|
| RuralAccess brings together the strengths, resources and creativity of people, communities and governments to work in partnership to build long-term, sustainable change in local communities.
The RuralAccess initiative is funded by the Victorian Government - Department of Human Services in partnership with Wellington Shire Council. RuralAccess is part of Council’s Community Wellbeing Unit . To contact the RuralAccess Project Coordinator call 1300 366 244 during business hours.
