Infringements & Fines
Breaches of local laws or regulations may result in the issuing of an infringement notice. An infringement notice details the offence and the fine you must pay to the council.

Failure to pay an infringement notice by the due date as identified on the infringement may result in further action being taken. Infringement notices can now be paid online with Visa or Mastercard.

If you believe you have a justified reason or the fine has been issued in error, you may apply for a review of your infringement notice by writing to:

Wellington Shire Council
Local Laws Department
PO Box 506
SALE 3850

Your request must include your personal details, the infringement notice number, date of issue and your vehicle registration number (in the case of a parking ticket) along with an explanation as to why your infringement should be reviewed. Your request must be submitted before the due date of the infringement.

Further information is available from Fines Victoria at http://online.fines.vic.gov.au

If you have any questions, please contact the Local Laws Department on 1300 366 244.
