| Council comes together on the first and third Tuesday of the month for a Council Meeting and Briefing Committee Meeting. Both are held in the Wellington Room at the Port of Sale Civic Centre, 70 Foster Street, Sale, and members of the public are welcome to attend.
Wellington Shire Council prides itself on conducting an open government with extensive community consultation. It works together with its community in making decisions that affect residents of the shire. Council allows public comment on each agenda item at its meetings prior to a decision being made. This is not a statutory obligation, rather a process adopted by Wellington Shire Council as part of its community minded approach to governance.
