| Wellington Shire Council is pleased to introduce a series of Mobility Maps available either to download below, or as hard copies at Wellington Shire Libraries.
The Wellington Mobility Maps are designed to facilitate safe and increased participation in the community by people with a mobility impairment or disability, parents with prams and people who are elderly. The mobility maps also provide relevant information for people with limited mobility to enable effective travel planning when visiting Wellington Shire.
The maps include the CBD and, where appropriate, tourist attractions, for six of the Shire's major towns; Sale, Heyfield, Maffra, Yarram, Stratford and Rosedale. Also available is a Mobility Map of Lakes Guthridge and Guyatt in Sale.
The maps include access features which were determined by a community survey and are available in a specialised mapping style that makes the maps easier to understand.
The maps have been developed by Wellington Mobility Maps Partnership Group which includes Wellington Shire's Rural Access Coordinator, Transport Connection Project, Tourism Officer, Physical Activity Strategy Planner, the Wellington Primary Care Partnership and GippSport.
The Wellington Mobility Maps Partnership Group would like to extend its thanks to all those who participated in the development of the Mobility Maps project. | |
