Wellington Shire Youth Council

| What is it all about? | | The Wellington Shire Youth Council is made up of 18 youths between the ages of 12-25, who eagerly represent young people within the Wellington Shire.
It provides an avenue for youth issues, feedback and communications to liaise with Wellington Shire Council, forming a bridge between youth and local government.
Youth Councillors are instigators of positive change and act as role models and leaders within the community.
They actively participates in community programs, fundraising and charity work, as well as developing and implementing their own action plan with goals and ambitions they have set out to achieve throughout the year.
Wellington Shire Council promotes education, employment, housing, health, safety and recreation opportunities for all young people in the shire.
Council works with all levels of government, the education sector, community agencies, service clubs and the private sector to develop a wide range of services and opportunities for our youth to realise their potential and to be active, productive and safe within our community.. | |
