Steve Pendrick awarded Citizen of the Year

Stratford free-range egg farmer Steve Pendrick was announced as Wellington Shire Council’s Citizen of the Year for 2018. Awarded during a luncheon in Sale, Mr Pendrick was shocked at the honour, telling those gathered that he had no idea he had been nominated.

With water pooling in areas in your garden, now is the time to be proactive and remove these mosquito breeding grounds on your properties and also to protect yourself from them while you are outdoors.

Library set for January 2018 Opening

Sale library staff are busily preparing for their move to the Port of Sale precinct, with the current library site closing for the last time on Saturday, 16 December 2017. We are aiming for the library to re-open in its new home at the Port of Sale on Saturday, 6 January 2018.

Too many household moggies are ending up in Wellington Shire Council’s shelter without any identification to reunite them with their loving owners. Within the municipality of Wellington, 70% of dogs are microchipped and registered, compared to just 22% of cats.
