Signs warning of a blue green algae outbreak have been positioned around Lake Guyatt in Sale. The alert has been issued following testing of the water has detected levels of algae that could pose a threat to pets if they swim in the water.

Council partnership to provide water to farmers

Wellington Shire Council is partnering with local water authorities and water carters to deliverhousehold water to drought affected families. Council was successful in an application for $1 million from the Commonwealth’s Drought Communities Program, which is targeted at drought affected communities.

New artwork adorns Sale Botanic Gardens
