Amendment C84 was approved by the Minister for Planning without changes. Notice of the approval of the Amendment appeared in the Government Gazette on 19 April 2018.
The amendment has rezoned the Wurruk Growth Area to the General Residential Zone and Low Density Residential Zone and has made consequential changes to the Heritage Overlay, Lands Subject to Inundation Overlay and Flood Overlay.
The subject land is identified for residential development within the Sale, Wurruk and Longford Structure Plan (2010). The Structure Plan advocates for the creation of well designed, complete neighbourhoods that are integrated with the existing adjoining residential areas and local facilities in Wurruk. To ensure an integrated development outcome the Development Plan Overlay- Schedule 9 has been applied to all developable land.
